![]() These two protocols are quite different as the required encapsulation of both is quite different. When the CCU2 was introduced, the ability to integrate with OI was changed from a serial protocol to a protocol which runs on Ethernet. One serial port was used for 3 rd party integration through Open Interface, the other was used to drive analogue cameras and/or Allegiant analogue video switches. The CCU had two serial ports to this end. In the past when the DCN-NG system used a CCU, systems could be integrated through a serial connection. The appropriate licenses were installed, but the devices could not communicate through the serial connection. The request was to integrate an AMX NX-2200 with the CCU2.
